. . . . . . Made it to see 'Halloween' and managed to get the review done, I deserve a medal, or a million dollars, or something.... Want to know how the film is? Check out the review HERE.

090107 A quicky little update here.

. . . . . . Anyone remember the movie ‘Aliens Vs. Predator’? A movie so bad it ruined two franchises instead of just one. Well, here comes a sequel and damn, if they didn’t sucker me back in because, you know what? This one looks entertaining. Of course the first ‘Aliens Vs. Predator’ looked like it was going to be entertaining too, and well, it just wasn’t. Director Paul W. S. Anderson is wisely not involved in the sequel. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and far more talented than I will ever be but when your strongest work is a toss up between ‘Mortal Kombat’ and ‘Event Horizon’ you might have issues. Maybe I’m still bitter because I saw ‘Soldier’ in the theaters. Anyway, back to the ‘Aliens Vs. Predator’ sequel, called ‘Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem’. Stepping in to the directors chair are Colin and Greg Strause, two brothers with a long track record in visual effects. The teaser trailer that has been released for the film is decidedly R-rated which is definitely the right way to go for this series after the PG-13 joke of the last film. There isn’t enough to really tell how the film might be and I’m not familiar with any of the Strause’s directing work so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Still, the trailer was strong enough to get me interested in a film I really had no intention of checking out. I guess even if the movie does turn out to be the pits, the marketing people did their job. Plus the film does have underrated actor John Ortiz in it (his IMDb page HERE).
